3. Open flows

The connection with natural flows allows us to rethink everything under the sun and  intelligently merge it with new technologies”.

(Mc.Donough, William; Braungart, Michael)

In Ekkoabits we understand environment as a dynamic system. Through the exploration between senses and matter-energy we can become aware of the flows that surround us, keeping them in closed cycles, avoiding the depletion of resources and the proliferation of waste in landfills.

  • To understand that experience is composed of flows, actions and reactions, movements and changes.
  • To perceive the flows rather than the objects that shape our environment.
  • Value 'open', flexible, reconfigurable and reusable objects and projects, as opposed to 'optimal' and perfect ones.
  • To develop an adaptive capacity towards an uncertain future.
  • To generate beginnings, seeds, capable of growing and evolving with the contribution and creativity of future generations.
  • To understand matter as 'captured energy'.
